Originating from Armenia and primarily working as a livestock guardian, todays Gampr has the advantage of over 14,000 years of instincts to draw upon, making them a natural choice for livestock protection.  Natural selection, over the thousands of years, has resulted in one of the most durable, healthy and enduring canines known to man.
